Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! After Pday we visited the Luna Montero family. They're returned missionaries who got married earlier this year. They're awesome and are helping us a lot with references. They shared a lot of stories about their missions and showed us photos of them as missionaries and described to us in detail how they've both gained weight. On Tuesday we had a lesson with hermana Elizabeth. She's a referece from a member, and she's progressing very well. We taught the restoration and we hope she can come to church soon. After the lesson we went looking for a store to buy markers and pens. We ran into a woman named Liliana and set up a lesson for Friday. In the afternoon we had a lesson with hermano James. We taught him repentance and he promised to come to church on Sunday! We also decided to visit a member to ask him to help us out with teaching his family, who aren't members. It turned into a very long lesson of us trying to prove t...

Hello everyone! After pday we headed over to the offices for the leadership meeting. We shared ideas and listened to what's been on President Hiatt's mind recently. We as a mission have been focusing a lot on the Holy Ghost and extending commitments. We had pizza for dinner and hanging out with the other zone leader's was awesome as usual! I also saw Elder Cordova and he told me that hermano Carlos and his family in Independencia have come to church every week since I left! They'll get baptized soon, I know it. On Tuesday we went to the chapel in California to practice our special musical number for the multizone conference. We sang "A Child's Prayer." It took some patience but little by little we were making it performable. After that we went on exchanges with Elder Yataco and Elder Chorrez in Vista Alegre! I went with Elder Yataco in Vista Alegre. The area's pretty small and everyone's too busy to talk or "is never at home," but it wa...

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week! Here's what I did: On Tuesday we started an exchange with Buenos Aires, Elder Ochoa and his son, Elder Cárdenas! I stayed with Elder Cárdenas here in Chan Chan. I trained Elder Ochoa, so Elder Cárdenas is kind of like my grandson!  We had some lessons and passed some references to other areas. We bumped into hermano Simon on the street and he said we could pass by a little later. We had a small lesson with hermana Carmen, a recent convert, and then went to hermano Simon. We taught about Jesus and his Church and the great apostasy. Afterwards we had a lesson with hermana Liliana and her family. That night we had a lesson with hermana Patricia and her children in their house. Patricia is an inactive member who's coming back. She came to church 2 weeks ago with her son Jhonathan. I had been told she had 3 children, 2 of which were older than 8. But when we got there and presented ourselves, the youngest said he was 9! He doesn...

Hello everyone! I hope you're doing well! After pday on Monday we had a lesson with reference a member in Central gave us. She had contacted this man at the bus stop. His name's José and he had received some missionary lessons before. He lives close to our apartment, too. His brother, Andre, also listened to us. We taught them the first half of the restoration and it went really well. On Tuesday we had a great lesson with hermano Omar, with hermano Waldir accompanying us. He had lots of questions which we were happy to answer and taught him the first half of the restoration. We also had quick lessons with our friends Simon and Liliana and her familia. We also helped hermabo Kike transport a freezer to the market. Wednesday we had our first district council of the transfer! Elder Keller did a great job for his first district council. I gave the mission norms and I think it went pretty well, too. Afterwards I got to practice the piano for moment while we waited for the taxi, ju...
