I made it!
Well I made it to Peru! I ran into two sisters also heading to the Peru MTC at the Boise airport, so I walked around with them at the Dallas airport when we landed. We wandered around for a few hours and had lunch at Applebees, (my final meal in America). We then waited at the gate for a few hours as another sister and elder showed up. There were supposed to be six, another brother, but he got covid and couldn't come. The flight itself was really long and pretty hard. I had an empty seat next to me, which was nice, but my sore throat and stuffy nose really acted up and made it miserable. I slept for probably two hours, not together, though. As we were coming down I was shocked by how many lights there were. We were helped by a real nice man, (he was LDS), through customs. We were driven to the MTC and it was really cool to see the abandoned part of the city, but I started feeling really sick. We made it to the MTC at 4:30 in the morning. I got into my room, which has four other elders staying there. I'm in a trio since the one other elder couldn't come. I just got into bed and hoped the sickness would go away. I woke up two hours later when everyone else woke up, but went back to bed. I got out at 7:30 and got showered and dressed. The other people on my plane all slept into 11, and since I'm currently running on 3 hrs. of sleep I'll either have the best sleep of my life tonight or give up at 4. For breakfast we had a lunch sandwich, some runny yogurt, and some milk, which is different, but I like it. I just had lunch, which is the biggest meal of the day. I'm doing alright, but this sick feeling that I have is making it a little hard. I'll email again on p day!
